Service 

To serve HKUST and Hong Kong to the best of my ability through showcasing our strengths, sharing our knowledge with the industry and public, and building a solid brand for our students, the university, and Hong Kong.

To serve my profession through my involvements in conferences and journals.

Associate Director and Advisor, Hong Kong Logistics and Supply Chain Institute (jointly hosted by CUHK, HKU, and HKUST with a funding of HKD400 million. From Dec 2005 – July 2007). Click here to go to the webpage.

Director, HKUST Logistics and Supply Chain Forum (2002 – to date)

Organized numerous seminars in Hong Kong and in China with Prof Chung-Yee Lee.

Director, HKUST Logistics and Supply Chain Institute at Nansha-China  (2004 – 2007)

Member, Postgraduate Committee (2002 – to date)

Master Liaison to showcase IELM and HKUST technologies and relevance to the logistics and supply chain industry in various capacities including:

Hosting and presenting to numerous visitors from the industry and academia

RGC visit, industry advisor visit, various delegation from China, talks at various seminars, visits by numerous companies

Organizing showcases in key exhibitions

Serving as a key member in IELM and HKUST project teams for large funding activities such as Area of excellence funding application, Logistics and Supply Chain Institute setup, presentations, etc.

Contributed immensely to IELM and HKUST in brand-building in Logistics and Supply Chain such as conducting the first RFID pilot in Hong Kong with Sun Logistics, building the complete RFID showcase including the EPC Network, RFID in Manufacturing systems, RFID in Transportation, RFID in Warehouse Management, RFID in Retail, sale of RFID software components to local enterprises, showcase of UST technologies in local conferences, UST technology showcase in solution center at Autotoll Limited, HKPC, etc.

Production of the RFID Video with Matrics and Autotoll Limited that has been used in numerous industry-related occasions.
